Hope is on the horizon!
Hi. Thank you for your interest in me and my work. I am a licensed psychotherapist and
consultant who accentuates the positive. In my 30 year counseling career I have helped
children, teens and adults in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient and
residential treatment venues. I was the Director of Child and Family Services at Larimer
County Mental Health Center and the Clinical Coordinator for Adolescent Services at
Mountain Crest Hospital. I am currently in private practice with my husband Dr. Gary
Ranch.
In my practice I incorporate current neuroscience research and emerging disciplines such as positive psychology and mindfulness applications. All of these fields affirm that relationships are fundamental to our well-being. I facilitate attuned, rewarding connections when I work with couples and families. I promote functional and effective relationships between co-workers and across organizational networks. Because I believe that improving our relationship with our selves is foundational to flourishing, I often focus on the evolving development of this significant relationship as well.
One of my favorite pursuits is speaking and training about topics for which I am passionate.
• overcoming stress and trauma to become resilient and thrive;
• achieving life balance through practices that integrate and promote flow;
• transforming disruptive change into opportunities for creative self-expression.
I have been called an enthusiastic speaker who effectively engages participants in my presentations. Delivering useful information in a well-organized and audience-specific manner is also my strength. I have provided training and consultation to businesses, public agencies, volunteers and family associations.
I am an intentional optimist who believes that change is possible regardless of past circumstances and current challenges.
